Internal Meeting in Progress - Lunch Break or Overthinking Break? - Part 3

 Time: 1:02 PM

Location: Cafeteria / Desk (same thing mentally)
Status: Hungry but confused

Body: Finally. Food. This is the only meeting I respect.
Brain: Eat fast. We wasted the whole morning.
Heart: What if… we sit somewhere different today?
Brain: Why?
Heart: For no reason… just… what if something happens?

Body (holding plate): I will sit wherever there is a chair and minimum effort.

Time: 1:05 PM
Sitting down. Eating starts. Peace for 12 seconds.

Heart (suddenly): Wait.
Brain: Not again.
Heart: I feel it.
Body: If this is about work, I refuse.

Heart: Someone is here.
Brain: This is a cafeteria. Of course someone is here.
Heart: No… someone different.

Body (looking around lazily): I see food. I see people. I see my will to live decreasing. That’s it.

Heart (whispering): What if… they’re here?
Brain: WHO??
Heart: The one I told you about…
Brain: The non-existent one?
Heart: Stop calling them that. You’re hurting my feelings.

Body: If they don’t bring food, they are irrelevant.

Heart: Imagine this…
They walk in… sit across you… and say—
“Is this seat taken?”

Brain: This is not a movie. This is Monday lunch.
Body: Also, this chair is actually taken. By me.

Heart: But what if destiny doesn’t care about chairs?

Brain: Focus. Eat. Chew. Basic survival first.

Time: 1:11 PM
Fork paused mid-air

Heart: What if they’re already seeing us?
Brain: Based on what?
Heart: Vibes again.
Body: These vibes are making the food cold.

Brain: Okay let’s test reality. Look up slowly.

You look up.

Random colleague staring accidentally

Heart: IT’S THEM.
Brain: That is Raj from Finance.
Body: He looks confused. Probably because we are staring.

Immediate eye contact break

Brain: Good. Now act normal.
Heart: What if we missed our moment?
Body: What if we finish eating?

Time: 1:18 PM
Back to eating… slightly aggressively

Heart (soft again): I still feel like… they exist somewhere.
Brain: Statistically unlikely.
Heart: Emotionally certain.
Body: Physically hungry.

Brain: Even if they exist, why would they meet us?
Heart: Because… maybe they’re also thinking the same.
Body: If they are, they should also bring snacks.

Time: 1:25 PM
Lunch almost over

Heart: Tomorrow… we should sit here again.
Brain: For what?
Heart: Just in case.
Body: I agree. Food is here.

Brain: Fine. But no more imaginary people during eating hours.
Heart: No promises.
Body: As long as I get food, imagine whoever you want.

System Status:

  • Food: ✅

  • Work: Still ❌

  • Overthinking: Advanced Level

  • Imaginary Crush: Becoming Routine

  • Reality: Slightly Ignored

To be continued…
