Status: Familiar… but lighter


Alarm rings.


Body: No.
Brain: Wake up. We have a meeting.
Heart: …okay.


Silence. Slightly different this time.


Time: 9:04 AM
Sitting up. No phone yet. Small victory.


Brain: Look at that. Progress.
Body: I still feel tired. No progress there.
Heart: I feel… calm.


Time: 9:12 AM
Laptop open. Meeting joined. Camera off. Tradition continues.


Manager: “Any updates?”


Brain: Say something useful.
Body: Say something short.
Heart: Say something that ends quickly.


You: “Yeah… working on it… will update soon.”


Brain: Consistency is key.
Body: Minimum effort, maximum survival.
Heart: Some things never change.


Time: 9:38 AM
Meeting continues. Mind stays. Surprisingly.


Brain: We’re actually listening.
Body: Barely. But yes.
Heart: It’s quieter inside.


Time: 10:10 AM
Phone nearby. No urgency. Just… there.


Heart (soft): Should we check?
Brain: If you want to. Not because you need to.
Body: I don’t care either way.


Time: 10:12 AM
Phone unlocked. Profile opened. Calm.


Same posts. Same chameleon 🦎


Heart:
Brain: Still the same.
Body: Still a tiny lizard.


Heart (gentle): Thank you.
Brain: For what?
Heart: For being there… when I needed something.
Body: Even if it was nothing.


Time: 10:15 AM
Phone locked. No second check. No pull.


Brain: That’s it?
Heart: That’s it.
Body: That was… easy.


Time: 1:05 PM
Lunch. Eating. No scrolling. Just… eating.


Body: This feels right.
Brain: This is normal life.
Heart: This is enough.


Time: 4:20 PM
Work… actually done. Small tasks. Big win.


Brain: Look at that. Productivity.
Body: Don’t expect this daily.
Heart: I feel… present.


Time: 9:40 PM
End of the day. Same bed. Different mind.


Heart: Do you think they were real?
Brain: No.
Heart: Do you think what I felt was real?
Brain: Yes.
Body: That’s all that matters.


Silence. Peaceful this time.


Heart (final, soft):
Sometimes we don’t fall for people…
We fall for the space they quietly fill inside us.


Brain: That’s… actually accurate.
Body: That’s… my cue to sleep.


Time: 10:02 PM
Lights off. No phone. No scrolling. Just rest.


System Status:

  • Work-Life Balance: Trying ⚖️

  • Overthinking: Reduced

  • Emotional State: Stable

  • Imaginary Crush: Memory 🌙

  • Internal Voices: Still active 😄


Final Note:

The meetings didn’t stop.
The overthinking didn’t fully disappear.
The heart didn’t become logical.
The body didn’t become energetic.


But something changed.


They learned to exist together…
a little more peacefully.
