My Roommate is a Ghost… and She Won’t Pay Rent! - Jealousy Level: Even the Dead Are Not This Dramatic - Part 4

For the first time in history…

Raghav brought a guest home.

A real human.

Alive. Breathing.

Her name was Ananya.

“Nice place,” she said politely.

From the corner…

Meera whispered:

“She’s lying.”

Raghav forced a smile.

“Make yourself comfortable.”

Meera floated behind Ananya.

Staring.

Analyzing.

Judging.

“Her hairstyle is trying too hard,” she commented.

Raghav clenched his teeth.

“Please ignore her,” he whispered.

Ananya blinked.

“Ignore… who?”

“Dust,” he said quickly. “I meant dust.”

Meera gasped dramatically.

“DUST?! I died with dignity!”

Ananya sat on the sofa.

Meera sat next to her.

Very close.

Uncomfortably close.

“Why is she sitting like she owns the place?” Meera muttered.

Raghav brought coffee.

His hands shaking.

His soul leaving.

His life flashing.

As he handed the cup…

Meera pushed it slightly.

Coffee spilled.

“OH NO,” she said with fake concern.

Ananya jumped.

“That just… moved?”

Raghav laughed nervously.

“Gravity is very active today.”

Meera crossed her arms.

“I don’t like her.”

“You don’t even know her!”

“She blinked twice at you. Suspicious behavior.”

Ananya tried to smile.

“Are you okay, Raghav?”

“Yes,” he said.

“No,” Meera said at the same time.

Raghav glared at the invisible chaos.

“Can you PLEASE behave?”

Meera leaned forward.

“No.”

Suddenly…

The TV turned ON.

Volume: 100.

A dramatic soap opera screamed in the background.

Ananya jumped.

Raghav panicked.

Meera smiled like a villain.

“Why is your house haunted?” Ananya whispered.

Raghav froze.

Meera proudly raised her hand.

“Finally. Recognition.”

“IT’S NOT HAUNTED!” Raghav shouted.

The lights flickered.

Perfect timing.

Terrible situation.

Ananya stood up.

“I think I should go…”

Meera stood up too.

“Excellent idea.”

Raghav rushed forward.

“No no, please stay—”

The door opened on its own.

Slowly.

Creepy.

Perfect horror entry.

Ananya didn’t wait.

She ran.

Fast.

Olympic-level escape.

Door slammed.

Silence.

Raghav turned slowly.

Meera stood there.

Smiling.

Proud.

Annoying.

“You RUINED everything!” he shouted.

She tilted her head.

“What everything?”

“My chance! My normal life!”

She laughed softly.

“Normal? You talk to a fan.”

Raghav looked away.

Frustrated.

Angry.

Confused.

“Why would you do that?” he asked quietly.

Meera paused.

For once…

No sarcasm.

No jokes.

Just… a small answer.

“I didn’t like her being here.”

“Why?”

She shrugged.

Looked away.

“…You didn’t laugh like that with me.”

Raghav blinked.

Confused.

Processing.

“Are you… jealous?”

Meera straightened instantly.

“WHAT?! No! I am dead, not desperate!”

Pause.

Then she added:

“…But also yes.”

Raghav stared at her.

“You’re unbelievable.”

She smiled.

“You’re still here.”

He sat down.

Exhausted.

Life ruined.

Peace gone.

Guest gone.

Future gone.

Meera sat beside him.

Quietly.

“…You’re really upset?” she asked.

“Yes.”

She thought for a moment.

Then slowly said:

“…I can scare her again tomorrow if it helps.”

Raghav covered his face.

“This is my life now.”

And somewhere between chaos and confusion…

One thing became clear:

This was no longer just haunting.

This was…

emotional disturbance with supernatural support.
